The intention of this 5 week gathering will be to utilize the 5 Element as mirror to move through the transition from Indian summer (Earth) to fall (Metal)with ease. Feel free to drop-in a session (please RSVP). Runs September 13th thru October 11th 2017.
For centuries our ancestors would harvest this time of year. Working hard to preserve food for the winter (Earth actions), and plan (Metal) to have enough in reserve for the coming winter months.
Everyone knows the change of season can bring challenges in how we orient ourselves to the changing environment. The effects of dampness, and shorter days of daylight, and cooler temperatures can impact our usual daily routines. Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD can bring some challenges. Symptoms of SAD may consist of difficulty waking up in the morning, nausea, tendency to oversleep and over-eat, especially a craving for carbohydrates, which leads to weight gain. Other symptoms include a lack of energy, difficulty concentrating on or completing tasks, feeling a sense of grief, withdrawal from friends, family, and social activities, and decreased sex drive. These all reflect impacts on our system and can be understood through the 5 Element model.
In this weekly circle we will encourage group members to share their strategies regarding seasonal changes and it’s impact. We will utilize 5 Element Constellations, dietary suggestions, group support, and energy building exercises to help nurture and build our reserves.
Just like the planet Earth provides the ground, nourishment, and relationships we need to live, the Earth energy internally mirrors these same attributes. The Spleen and Stomach are considered the 2 organs (yin and yang batteries) belonging to the Earth element. If you have digestive problems, edema, brain fog, tendency to worry, anemia these might be indications of Earth element imbalances.
In this healing “circle”, we will gently examine healing our bodies. With love, humor, and patience we will look at our strengths, human nature, burdens and entanglements, to see, bring light, and provide an environment to feel and release and bring balance to our bodies
5 Thursdays $160 Early bird until September 1rst. $185 thereafter
